Here’s part 5 of my vignette detailing my ideal mate. I want someone that doesn’t believe in marriage.
I don’t believe there is any place for marriage in modern society. Marriage is only a tool that the government uses to treat people like property and exclude those with alternative lifestyles. Two (or more) people can commit to each other just the same without having to use such limiting and destructive terms.
Let’s face it. There are two reasons people get married. One, they think they’re supposed to (society dictates it), or two, they’re possessive and afraid of losing their significant other. My ideal would go against the grain, being unafraid to stand up to traditions and not feeling possessive in the least, so marriage would not be in her playbook.

And here I am, Just over a year later with a beautiful diamond ring on that oh-so-special finger; thinking about how much I love the ring. Wait, I meant to say how much I love YOU. Yes, YOU. Shit. Freudian Slip! lol. I love you sweetheart, and I’m glad that you decided that I made you happy enough to conform, just a little bit, to society.
